Sucking blood.

In a house with no animals other than fish, I get bit at least a dozen times by fleas. Bullshit.

I did finally get to watch Versus in its entirety. Leave it to the Japanese to make a refreshingly original zombie flick.

Jedi training.

Yoda mentioned in Episode III that Anakin must let go of what he feared to lose. Fear leads to the Dark Side. Which brings the question, "Can you really let go of what you fear to lose?". It seems that that is why they didn't want to let Anakin train as a Jedi because he was already influenced by the love of his mother. He had already learned these feelings and it was ulimately more difficult to let go. Then also comes the question, "Should we let go?". Why should we want to prepare ourselves for the loss of something that feels good? Would it be better for us to prepare this way? Would it make your experience of this good feeling different if you were ready to lose it? I've got no fucking clue.

Drawing blank.

I promised myself I'd update everyday I had time in front of my own computer at home. So here I am. Updating. In front of my own computer. At home. With not much running through my head. Which hasn't been the norm lately. I'm thinking it's being caused by the past week full of 12 packs. Perhaps I need a break. Which is what tonight is going to be. A nice break. Nothing to do but watch Angels baseball and listen to some good music... and have a beer or two...

In the mean time, anyone reading this bullshit ought to watch this video.

Equivalency?

Today I began my 3 day path to equivalency. What a fucking joke this test is. I could've passed this damn thing without ever taking a step onto a high shcool campus. The best part about it, though, was the hidden propaganda in the questions. There were a few that, when I read them, just made me think, "Holy shit, they're trying to justify the state of our nation. Nice.". The best one, or the one that I most remember, was a series of questions based on a paragraph of information about how oil is the most important energy source on Earth. And one of the questions asked why industrialized nations should keep an eye on the goings on in the Middle East. I almost laughed out loud at the fucking thing. There was also a nice set of questions about morality and law. And one of the multiple choice answers basically damned civil disobedience because of morality. We, sirs and madams, are fucked.

Nearly murdered.

So I was in the passenger seat of a friend's car trying to merge onto the 605. Don't know why, but a truck driver thought it would be a great idea not to let us in. Almost hitting the car in front of him a few times, even. If there wasn't a shoulder, we would've been toast.

Pac-Man

You know, arcade games are much more fun when the credits are free. And there's booze involved. Lots of booze.

Just when you'd hoped that they'd forgotten about you.

They call. I'm glad I didn't have to answer it.

I couldn't tell it was fake meat.

After viewing Star Wars Episode III yesterday afternoon, I had lunch at a vegetarian place in Whittier. Mongolian beef. Beef? At a vegetarian restaurant? I never knew fake meat could taste so damn good. The spice was right, but the texture that this fake meat had totally fooled me. I also now understand the plight of vegetarians and their frequent bathroom breaks :(.
