What is wrong with parents these days? In the 5 days I've spent reading the news at work this week, there's been 5 different stories about people murdering their offspring. The latest story was about a man who beat his 4 month old daughter to death because he wanted a son. Apparently, the beatings had been happening since her birth. Another one, that I can recall off the top of my head, involved a man who grabbed his 4 kids and tossed them all over an 80 foot high bridge to their deaths.

How does someone do that?

Well, with all the fun free time I'll be having at my new job, I figured I should use some of it to do something productive (or narcissistic) like writing in my blog again!

I should be studying for my CLEP exams so I can work the backdoor into law school, but I'm learning too much at work for me to retain any knowledge. My Brain Training isn't helping much either. What the fuck is doing 20 math problems a day or counting people coming and going from my one window home through my chimney going to do for my pre-frontal cortex anyway. (My brain age is 22 on my 5th brain age check, booyah)

Yesterday, just after I woke up, the power went out. You really do forget how much we rely on electricity these days. It was kind of nice not to have it, though. I went outside. talked to my parents, smoked alot of cigarettes, entertained myself with only my thoughts, and just wished I didn't have to go to work. Even people around the neighborhood were out walking around and interacting. It seemed like a town out of the old West.

So last night on my way to work I was walking to my car. There was a small dog walking down the road. The owners were trying to get its attention from maybe 50 feet away. Dog kept right on rollin'. The best part of this whole scene was that after the dog getting maybe 100 feet away, the owners hopped into their car to chase it down.

So I saw it this past weekend. I was quite stoned so I'm not too sure if it was a good movie or not. I totally enjoyed it while baked, that's for sure. Only gripes I had were that the Oompa Loompa songs were crap. And the Oompa Loompas were the same guy. And he was one creepy looking motherfucker. I was really hoping Burton'd do justice to the crazy boat scene from the old flick, but no dice. Only thing I can really say, is that it wasn't bad.
